AMATEUR CHEFS WANTED:

Here’s the deal. The last weekend in July
marks our 4th Anniversary.

Which means we are gonna party like crazy!

And part of this extravaganza involves food.
Delicious food. That we will absolutely NOT
have time to prepare ourselves because –
if the previous 3 Anniversary Parties are
any indication – we will be busy keeping
people’s glasses full.

So this is when we ask for volunteers
who love to grill and/or cook. (We have
a nice grill on the patio, so that approach
works pretty well)

There are 3 shifts that remain to be
filled, 2 on Friday evening and one
on Saturday evening.

We reimburse you for the costs you
incur, plus we will make sure you have
enough free wine to drink, as our way
of saying thank you!

by, and we’ll figure out the details.

WINESDAY FLIGHT:

SO EXCITED about the flight we’ve put
together for this Wednesday, 7/9.

Think of it as a Newbie Sandwich:
2 classic wines we’ve carried for
awhile on either side of an exciting
new addition to our shop!

Cost is $10 for a half glass each of…

Conundrum White 2012

“Exotic, with layers of peach, apricot nectar,
green melon and pear, overlaid with subtle
notes of citrus zest and spicy vanilla.”

Finca Resalso Ribera del Duero 2012
-91 points Stephen Tanzer:
“Creamy, round and long, with soft tannins
and building notes of plum and dark chocolate.”

Sequel Syrah 2009
-93 points Wine Advocate:
“An expansive, plush palate, with dark berry
juiciness along with hints of mint, black pepper,
smoke, and black tea.”

This is a fantastic flight, no doubt about it.

HAVE YOUR CAKE & DRINK IT TOO!

You may not think that such a thing is possible,
but this Friday it is!

That’s right. Friday, 7/11, we are offering a
terrific Tasting Event featuring wines from
Cupcake, Layer Cake, and Cakebread.

That’s not all. In addition to our regular
snacks, we will put out – you guessed it –
little cakes!

This event costs $15/person and is available
any time from 4-10 this Friday.
