WINE OF THE WEEK:
With August and September typically being the hottest months of the year, we’re often reaching for something cool to sip.
Something like our WOW, the new vintage – 2020 – of the ever-popular Rose’ from Daou Vineyards of Paso Robles. Wine Enthusiast gave it 91 points (pretty damn good score for a Rose’) and had this to say:
“Light peach and apricot aromas are leveled by wet rock, rose and lemon peel accents. It tightens firmly on the sip, where melon and stone fruit flavors are splashed by a bit of citrus.”
Great on its own as a summer sipper/patio pounder, this also makes a great picnic wine and is terrific with any number of lighter dishes, seafood, sandwiches and fried chicken.
This fun & tasty Rose’ is normally just 17.97, which is great. But this week only, through Sunday, it’s yours for 15.97/bottle.
Cheers, and stay cool! 🙂
MIDWEEK TASTING FLIGHT:
All you need is ten bucks to get a super fine tasting experience this midweek.
