BAJA FLIGHT THIS WEEKEND:
This Friday and Saturday our tasting event is all about Baja, and it’s just 15 bucks!
If possible, though, try to make it Friday, when we welcome special guests Jessie and Frank to lead us through a tasting of these exciting wines from the exploding wine scene south of the border!
Casa Jipi Sauvignon Blanc 2020. Crisp, citrusy and juicy.
Bruma Barbera 2019. Natural wine, fruity, funky and fun.
Vinsur Reflejo Red 2018. Ripe black cherry and vanilla notes.
Santos Brujos Tempranillo 2017. Structured, grippy and complex.
This will be a super fun tasting, especially on Friday. Both Jessie and Frank are fun, charming and very knowledgeable. Come meet them and try the wines!
WINE OF THE WEEK:
Oh, the crying, the wailing, the misery that ensued when we ran out of this shop favorite and were unable to re-order.
But the container and shipping delays – for now at least – have been resolved, and we are back in stock on the 2020 Terrasse du Moulinas Rose’.
This is the one with the pretty label and the full one liter bottle. It’s as fresh and delicious as ever, with delightful notes of strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and melon.
As for price, here’s more good news. This juicy, refreshing Rose’ in the one liter bottle is still just 9.97/bottle. Woo hoo!
WINE DINNER COMING UP:
Our next Wine Dinner with Chef Erin is Thursday, Sep 30.
The wines this time all come from the much-heralded Nick Goldschmidt of Goldschmidt Vineyards. We will have a special guest from the winery here to present the wines, of course, and we are looking forward to another fantastic time!
