WEDNESDAY TASTING EVENT:

This Wednesday, 9/14, we welcome Italian wine
importer Jonathan Zeiger as we have some fun
comparing different vintages of two of his wines!

In wine-speak this kind of tasting is called a
“vertical,” and it’s a fantastic way to both enjoy
wine AND learn something about what a
difference a year can make.

This event costs just ten bucks, and it’s available
any time from 5:30-9. These are the wines:

Rio Maggio Colle Monteverde Pecorino 2012 and 2013

Rio Maggio Rosso Piceno 2010 and 2011

This promises to be a great time for all. Whether
you’re new to wine tasting, or a seasoned pro, you
should definitely join Jonathan and us this Wednesday!

WINE OF THE WEEK:

This week’s WOW is a terrific red at a terrific price.
The 2013 Robert Hall Merlot from Paso Robles:

Rich aromas of ripe black cherry are accented by hints of
cedar and vanilla. On the palate rich flavors that echo the
aromas are complemented by soft, silky tannins on the finish.

This wine is so well-structured and balanced, offering a
wonderful drinking experience at just 12.97/bottle.
