PENNY SALE BEGINS THIS FRIDAY!

Oh my goodness, you need to mark this one on the
calendar! It is time for our semi-annual Penny Sale!!

And it begins this Friday, 9/25, at 11:00 am.

This gives you the opportunity to buy a wine,
and get the second bottle of that same wine
for just one penny. (this applies of course to
selected wines only – not everything in the shop)

If you play your cards right, then, it’s possible to
get a case of wine for just 12 cents.

If we happen to be down to our last bottle, which
tends to happen quickly with this sale, then you
will get that bottle for half its regular price.

We will have a handful of these wines available
to taste, and said tasting will cost you just $10.

We’ll say it again, as we do every time…

The Penny Sale wines will go fast, so get in here
as quick as you can. Limited to stock on hand;
no rain checks or any of that kind of thing.

Again, the sale begins Friday, 9/25, at 11:00 am.

WINESDAY FLIGHT:

Obviously, you don’t have to wait until Friday to
enjoy wine here at the best wine bar in all of
San Diego County.

(In case we haven’t reminded you recently, we won
the U-T Readers Poll for the second year in a row.
Oh yes we did.)

A midweek no-brainer. And a great way to toast
the arrival of autumn!

A GRUDGING ADMISSION:

Well, I guess all dynasties must come to an end.

I (this is Jim, btw; I’m always the guy who writes these)
basked, luxuriated, and reveled in my Bro-Down dominance
over the first three years of the competition.

But a NEW CHAMPION has been crowned. That’s right,
after 263 votes were counted, Big Brother Bill emerged
as the clear winner of last Friday’s Bro-Down tasting battle.

Congratulations to Bill, and a big hearty thanks to
all who came out to taste and participate! It was an
incredibly fun night!

(I, meanwhile, am already plotting my triumphant
return to dominance next year)

Oh, and don’t be surprised if a NEW CHALLENGER
steps up to try to take away Bill’s crown. Yes, indeed,
the next event will feature Cathryn going up against
Bill – details coming in the not-too-distant future.
