WINE OF THE WEEK:
We are fortunate to have great relationships
with a number of very knowledgeable wine
reps, and one of them popped in last week
to pour us a splash of something, saying
“you guys gotta try this before it runs out!”
You know the rest…
It was delicious, and a bargain, so we
ordered what they had left.
The wine is the 2011 Rubus Tempranillo
from Spain, and it received an 89 point
score from Stephen Tanzer:
“Oak-influenced aromas of ripe blackberry
and cassis, vanilla and peppery spices.
Deep, supple and sweet, offering weighty
dark fruit flavors accented by black pepper
and woodsmoke. This broad, fleshy wine
finishes with good power and sneaky tannins
that add shape.”
The good news? It’s just $9.97 per bottle.
The bad? We only got a few cases, because
that’s all they had left. Come and get it!

THE PENNY SALE RETURNS!
We’ll send out more details in a couple days,
but the gist is this –
Our semi-annual Penny Sale begins this
Friday, 9/26, at 11:00 am. It ends when
we run out of the wines. Which doesn’t
take very long.
This is when you can buy a bottle
from among certain selected wines,
and get the second for one thin cent.
Pretty crazy, I know. But crazy is how we roll!
