WINE OF THE WEEK:

One of our all-time best selling South American
wines is called Primus The Blend, so much so
that we have a tough time keeping it in stock.

So, when we discovered an opportunity to
bring in the 2010 vintage of this wine in a
1.5 liter size at a phenomenal price…

Well, you know we did!

The ’10 received a 91 point score from
Wine Enthusiast magazine. Check it:

A blend of Cabernet, Carmenere, Syrah
and Merlot, this “delivers a dense, meaty
mouthfeel and saturated flavors of ripe
blackberry, blueberry and chocolate. For a big,
bold wine it gets things right.”

The normal 750 ml size of this bottle sells
in most locations for about $20 (here $16.97).

But right here at NCWC the magnum is
just $24.97!!

Very limited supplies of this, so come get it!

WINESDAY FLIGHT:

This Wednesday, 10/1, we are getting October
off to a great start with a killer flight.

Any time after 3 pm, $10 gets you a half glass
each of these:

Trouillard Brut Champagne, $31.97
-a classic Champagne, with a frothy mousse
and tangy flavors

Belle Glos Las Alturas Pinot Noir 2013, $39.97
-deliciously ripe and layered, with smooth oak
nuances wrapping around luscious cherry,
blueberry, and chocolate notes

Primus The Blend 2010, $24.97/1.5 liter
-described above

RED OVEN PIZZA RETURNS!

We’ve hosted the good folks at Red Oven Pizza
here a couple times, and judging from the
gigantically enthusiastic comments each time,
we’re sure you’ll be as stoked as we are that
they’re coming back.

They’re here Friday, October 3rd, from about
5:30-9. If you don’t know these guys, I’ll
just say their pizzas are awesome.

They’ll have the food covered. We of course
will handle the wine, with a dynamite lineup
of vino that will, also of course, go fantastically
well with pizza!

OCTOBERFEST PARTY SATURDAY, 10/11!

While the German tradition is to hold Octoberfest
in September, here at NCWC we take it more
literally and do it in October!

On Saturday, 10/11, from 2-8 pm, we will have
beers on tap and bratwursts galore.
