WINE OF THE WEEK:

Available for tasting at the bar this week
will be your current Wine of the Week,
the 2011 Russian River Valley Chardonnay
from J Vineyards.

You may know previous vintages of this
amazingly and consistently good wine,
which have always scored 90+ points
from various critics and publications.

This new vintage is not yet rated, so
we will show you the winery’s notes:

“A stunningly complex wine emerges
from such a challenging vintage. Fresh
aromas of Meyer lemon, hazelnut and
vanilla delight the nose. A spicy minerality
and crisp acidity balance the flavor of vibrant
honeysuckle and tangerine in the mouth.
This reflective offering is a versatile food wine”
that pairs well with any number of dishes,
from seafood to poultry to pork.

The J Vineyards Chardonnay is $19.97 here
($28 at the winery).

For this Winesday, June 19, we are
giving you ALL THE POWER!

That’s right, you have complete control
over your flight. Just pick any three
different wines off the extensive bar menu,
and you get a half glass of each for just $10.

HOW DO WE KEEP DOING IT EVERY FRIDAY?

As in, putting awesome tasting events together?

Honestly, I dunno. I mean, Bill’s a pretty smart
guy and all. But he’s saddled with me, which lowers
the collective IQ in the place pretty considerably.

But somehow we get it done. The event for
Friday, 6/21, is just ten bucks, including
snacks, and features 7 delicious Summer Sippers!
