Hello and welcome!

Your Wine Pick-up Party this month will
on the FIRST TUESDAY, March 4th,
anytime from 5-9 pm. We’ll have both
the Silver and Gold level wines available
to taste, and doing so costs you nothing.

Congratulations to our March winner of the
monthly free bottle, Terry Chiros. Terry, you may
choose any past or present Silver Level bottle.

Now for the wines, beginning with Silver Level:

The Filus Reserve Malbec 2010 hails from
Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. It
received 90 points from Wine Spectator:

“This ripe red features a solid core of
black cherry and cassis flavors that
remain fresh on the palate. Hints of flint
and spice accent the aftertaste of
crushed cherry.”

The second Silver is the 2010 Ricci
Barbera Barbarossa:

Rich cherry fruit on the nose, along with underlying
loam and cedar. Very nice cherry flavors as well,
juicy and persistent, with moderately dry earth
present but not overpowering. Quite good balance
of tannins and acid here, finishing with decent length and
style, plus a sweet ripeness to the fruit that is very appealing.

Now for the Gold Level, we begin with the
2009 Frank Family Pinot Noir from Carneros:

“It has a bright ruby core and opens with aromas
of black cherries, raspberry and spice. As the wine
opens, floral notes reminiscent of hibiscus flower and
potpourri blossom in the glass. The palate is fleshy,
loaded with fresh berry flavors and lush savory notes
that lead to roasted chestnuts and toffee flavors.
The tannins are refined and provide elegance and structure.”

Last but definitely not least, we offer the
2011 McPrice Myers Beautiful Earth
from Paso Robles, 94 points Wine Advocate:

“The thrilling 2011 is 72% Syrah and the balance
Grenache and Mourvedre. Gorgeously pure, fresh
and focused, with knockout purity, it dishes out layers
of blackberry, chocolate, smoke and floral undertones
to go with a full-bodied and impeccably balanced
profile on the palate. Impressive any way you look at it.”

Again, all four of these wines will be available
for you to taste on TUESDAY, 3/4. We’d love
