WINE CLUB INFO:
Greetings & Salutations! We’re pleased to help you make the most of this month, with some mighty fine wines!
Tasting notes coming up. First the basics:
All 4 Club Wines will be open and available to taste during the first midweek of the month, which means Tues-Thurs, the 4th through 6th.
Your Stock-Up Days are Saturday and Sunday, the 15th and 16th. Make the most of your discount!
Finally, our monthly Free Bottle winner is Cassandra Gucwa. Congratulations!
ALSO… some exciting news… We are having a membership drive! We would love to continue sharing fine wines with the wine lovers of North County, and we’re asking for YOUR HELP.
And there’s a little something in it for you! For every new member you send our way, now through the end of the year, we will give you an extra $10 tasting credit to enjoy at the bar, PLUS a free 6 pack re-usable wine carrier!
Just have the new member mention your referral, and you’re all set. Thank you for helping us spread the love!
Now for the wines…
WINE CLUB TASTING NOTES:
Beginning with the Silver Level, we offer the 2020 Bonny Doon “Le Cigare Volant”, a Grenache blend from California’s Central Coast. (yes, I listed this wine last month by mistake, but it really is a Club Wine this month!)
“Aromas of cherry, grenadine, anise and toast lead to flavors of spice, raspberry, boysenberry and anise.”
Next is the 2020 Saint Cosme Cotes-du-Rhone from France, of course. Unusual for CDR, this is actually 100% Syrah.
Cherry and plum notes meld with red licorice, with herbal and juniper hints showing on the finish. This is a solid red, with impact and length.
Now for Gold Level. The 2019 Epiphany Inspiration is a Santa Barbara County blend of Grenache, Counoise, Mourvedre, Cinsault and Syrah.
Aromas and flavors include red and black fruits, spice, pepper, herbs and violet floral tones. It’s ripe and wonderfully textured, with soft tannins and tons of charm.
Last but not least is the 2018 Stags’ Leap Petite Sirah from Napa Valley.
Complex and loaded with flavor, this offers plum, blueberry, smoked meat, licorice and dried flower notes, plus hints of dark chocolate and forest floor. It is full, ripe and densely structured.
We cannot thank you enough for your friendship and support. Cheers, and happy October!
