Now for the wines…
WINE CLUB TASTING NOTES:
Let’s talk Silver Level first. The 2019 Breca Garnacha hails from Spain.
It’s loaded with aromas and flavors of red and black fruits, spice, sandalwood, dried flowers, herbs and subtle mineral notes, showing great elegance and balance.
The next one is also Spanish, the 2018 Goru Gold from Jumilla, a blend of Monastrell, Syrah and Cabernet.
Aromas of blackcurrant, espresso and aniseed precede plush flavors of plum, blueberry, mocha and herbs.
Moving to Gold Level, we have the 2020 Ridge Three Valleys from Sonoma. This is Zinfandel blended with Petite Sirah, Carignane and Alicante Bouschet.
The wine opens with a juicy burst of cherry, turning to darker berry flavors accented by savory white pepper and bay leaf hints, ending with broad-shouldered tannins.
We finish up with another 2020, the Tower Road Petite Sirah from J. Lohr.
This Paso red has a bit of Malbec blended in. It is bright and energetic, with aromas of cranberry, blackberry and floral tones leading to a palate of red and blue fruit, marked by fine concentration and a long finish.
We’ve been having fun with this Wine Club for 12 years now, and we so appreciate you joining us on the journey! Cheers, and have a fantastic month!
