Greetings, and happy February!
We are excited to share a fun new batch of Club Wines with you. Before we get to those, though, a bit of information:
The monthly free bottle winner is Kirk Winges. Congrats!
Your STOCK-UP DAYS for February are Saturday and Sunday, the 19th and 20th.
Your chance to taste all 4 club wines is this midweek, Tuesday the 1st through Thursday the 3rd. This tasting is FREE for you and your spouse, or a friend.
Now for your wines, Silver first. The 2010 Folly of the Beast Pinot Noir from California’s Central Coast offers a delightful array of cherry and strawberry flavors accented by oak, cola and spice.
The 2017 Cellers Unio Tendresa Priorat is a 50-50 blend of Garnacha and Carignan from Spain.
This is so approachable, with cherry, cranberry and raspberry flavors, plus hints of vanilla and earth, all wrapped up in nice, balancing structure.
The Gold Wines begin with the 2018 Peju Merlot from Napa Valley.
80% Merlot, 16% Cab and 4% Petit Verdot, this delivers black cherry, raspberry, plum, white pepper and subtle savory notes, with well-integrated tannins adding texture, length and age-ability – assuming you can keep your hands off it!
Finally, we give you the 2018 Penfolds Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz from Australia’s Barossa Valley.
This shows terrific concentration, with chewy tannins supporting flavors of blueberry, cherry, date, ginger and espresso. Just a delicious mouthful of wine!
We hope you have a wonderful February and look forward to seeing you soon!
