Description
From winemaker Kirk Venge, this is 89% Cabernet, with dashes of Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Very dark in the glass, it has a dense, syrupy quality on the nose, with cassis alongside blackberry and boysenberry preserves. Those same luscious flavors follow through on the palate, with toasty oak and vanilla notes, and a hint of tobacco leaf peeking from the background. This is absolutely packed with flavor but with structure to match, as grippy tannins keep everything together. Very impressive, and definitely built for pleasure.
