Made by Thomas Rivers Brown, this is rich, dense and dark, packed with notes of cassis, blackberry pie a la mode, milk chocolate, and hints of spice and tobacco. All that flavor is carried along by impressive structure through the lengthy finish. An impressive, showy wine to be sure.
