Vignalta Gemola 2013, Colli Euganei

Description

70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc.  Pencil shavings on the nose, with toast, grilled herbs, olive tapenade, black cherry, black pepper.  On the palate, very nice structure, and nice ripeness to the fruit, black and red fruit showing well, again with toast, spice, vanilla, a touch of pepper, just a hint of black olive.  Really quite good.  Tre bicchieri.
